Prototypes were built under Racket Guitars brand.
Instruments
We build guitars that look like us. The range is based on familiar paragons, a familiar sound, a modern look. Shape and ergonomics go hand in hand with playability.
We craft each instrument by hand, so customisation is possible.
Experience and education
Years of maintenance work, repairs and gigging has taught a lot about guitars. And a lot more was learned at the Ikaalinen Luthier School and during internship at Lottonen Guitars. Therefore we have settled on structural solutions that best serve playability, serviceability, and the customer's wallet.
Bolt neck with machine screws
Done with threaded inserts and machine screws, the neck joint is rigid enough to make the whole guitar function as a single structure. This is a considerable improvement over the traditional wood screw connection. Maintenance is easier and cheaper than with fixed-neck instruments.
Spoke wheel truss rod
With the spoke wheel, adjustment is easy and there is no need to remove the neck. The adjustment affects the neck at the desired point. In addition, the wood under the nut remains intact, so that the most fragile point of the neck is not further weakened.
Ergonomic neck joint
The neck is fitted to the body so that the upper frets are easily accessible.
Reinforced neck structure
We install reinforcements in the neck to bring the relief of the neck to its optimum spot. At the same time, the critical point at the base of the neck is stiffened, thus avoiding the warping of the wood over time.
You have choice over these
Sizing of the neck
The width, profile and thickness of the neck can be chosen quite freely within the limits set by the other parts.
Hardware
We equip our guitars high quality parts such as Gotoh, Evertune, CTS, Switchcraft, Seymour Duncan, DiMarzio, Bare Knuckle, MEC, K&K... If you have a specific brand in mind, we will try to arrange it.
Materials
For each guitar model, we primarily offer proven wood species to achieve a balanced tonal result. Other types can also be used if a more personal finish is desired.
