The easiest way to make an assessment is to see and inspect the instrument personally. Pay us a visit, and we'll work from there on.
We also make a cost estimate / statement to your insurance company for a claim. The insurance company will reimburse the customer for the cost.

If the instrument is structurally sound, a well-playing setup costs "less than a hundred bucks.” Repairs will add to the price, but we always aim for a cost-effective solution. No extra work, only necessities.
Guitars and basses are our forte. We also speak in other stringed instruments a little. Minor work can be performed on keyboards, drums, amplifiers, and miscellaneous sound equipment. Ask us.
The usual schedule for work completion is one week, excluding the wait for ordered parts to arrive. If you are in a hurry, let us know. We will do our best.

Climate in Finland
Playing is fun when the guitar is intact and set up just right. The tonewood of the instrument reacts to changes in humidity and temperature, in practice to the seasons and changes in storage. During the heating season, the air is very dry indoors, so it is essential to remember humidification. There are easy and inexpensive solutions to this.
At least at the change of season, it is a good idea to check the condition of the strings and make the necessary adjustments. You may get by with a truss rod adjustment, sometimes a bit more exercise is required.
Strings wear out too: even if everything looks fine on the surface, the tuning gradually loses its stability. This is when the strings need to be changed; playing is far more enjoyable with proper sound. Whenever you perform a string change, at the same time it's easy to check the overall condition of the instrument and react accordingly.

We perform string changes, setups, crack repairs, electronics maintenance, plus pickup and hardware replacements.
Fret work includes: replacing, leveling, re-crowning, polishing, filing the fret ends, etc. We also service Gibson-style fretboards with binding and nibs.
Other instruments and gear
We also service stringed instruments, kanteles, ukuleles, banjos, mandolins, drums, and keyboards, to a certain degree. Ask us.
For amplifiers, we do minor repairs, tube replacement, and biasing. Electrical safety is a limitation, and under no circumstances do we seek to go outside our remit. In such cases, we will direct the customer towards reliable, competent providers.
Accessories
We offer guitar parts such as strings, hardware, and pickups at a reasonable price. Should you require something out of the ordinary, ask. We will do what we can to help.
